What is Ergonomics?

What is an Advanced Ergonomic Office Assessment?
With Glenn’s background and experience in rehabilitation, working as a massage therapist, and a certified Advanced Office Ergonomics Specialist he will see your employees as whole persons. He is then able to synthesize the information to make sound decisions based on his ability to connect the clinical findings which someone may overlook. An Advanced Ergonomic Office Assessment is an assessment of a worker at their workstation to ensure correct working postures and workstation set up. It is done to reduce a worker’s exposure to physical hazards such as:
- Uncomfortable postures
- Repetitive tasks
- Straining of the body
Ergonomic Assessments should be completed by fully qualified Occupational Health Professionals. At the end of an assessment, a formal report is then provided to the worker/employer outlining all findings and recommendations. Posture, movement and temperature are all factors to take into consideration in an ergonomic assessment.
